Talin's Description

Talin was once a small village, located on the gentle plains beneath a mountain. They were mostly focused around farming, and the fields and tools of the trade still litter the landscape. However they have fallen into disrepair, as a constant gloom has overtaken the city. It began when a strange little boy was found and put in the orphanage, and soon the wicked child's gluttony consumed them all. He ate his prey in body and soul, and the few spirits that managed to escape Nick's digestive juices were filled with despair and fury. They now exist as cruel wraiths, which attack anything in sight. Due to this, it's advised against investigating the farms.

However, besides the wraiths, the village is not totally abandoned. A small group of magic users found it and, sensing the cruel energy from the wraiths, realized it was an excellent place to focus their attack magic. As a result, many mages can be found there. Most to refine their skill, but others are exceptions. Such as Thaumaturges who have come to try and relieve the wraiths of their anger, and release their souls, and Soul Eaters who use it as a hunting ground. Of course as few wish to go there, many thieves have made it into a hideout, and the safer buildings have been expanded with underground chambers, in which bandit gangs store their loot and hide from capture.

Due to it's lawless nature, the city of Talin is a very dangerous place to visit. However now and then others arrive, intending to restore the cursed city to it's former glory. Many fall to the wraiths, but some have set up homes and tried to live a regular life, in hopes that they can return it to the peaceful village it once was.
