Battle Actions

Whether you're fighting in a quest or holding a PvP match, the principles are generally the same. For each turn/post:

-You get one basic action, which is either an action or attack that uses no SP or HP to do. You may also use an item. Generally, you're only allowed to attack one enemy or do one thing, but remember that you are only limited by your creativity; the appointed GM should be fairly lenient of dramatic actions if you're realistic. Also keep in mind that these actions will always be weaker than ones which use SP.

-You may use one ability. This is either a spell or skill, which can be dramatized in your post (such as uttering an incantation or describing the moves).

Those are the two actions you're able to take in a post. You can choose to use only one of the two, both, or neither. It's totally up to you.

Also, please note that you can only post once per round, and each of you must go in an order that is predetermined.

Dying and Escape

When all characters of a party have died or become otherwise unable to fight (such as unconsciousness or petrification), the quest or battle has been lost. If your character died, the death is permanent until a Soul Quest is completed. If your character was merely left unconscious or petrified, they return to your control once the failed quest has been wrapped up. Don't be angry if the GM decides to finish you off; by going on their quest, they have the right to be as merciless as they like.

A party may choose to flee from a bad situation to avoid failure. In this scenario, they leave the enemy behind so that it's "removed" from battle. Whether or not you are successful is up to the GM, and the enemies may pursue you if they like. However, you may not escape from boss battles. To flee, your party must agree and find a creative way to escape your situation, and the GM must deem it appropriate. Defeated allies are left behind for permanent death and experience is not gained for living enemies.

If you are a kind soul and do not want to finish off unconscious enemies, you may choose to "flee" at no penalty. You will still gain experience as if you had finished them off.
