Elements

Each character and most spells align with one of six elements. This choice will affect combat in various ways; it will make your attacks weak or strong depending on the circumstances. Details about this are below:

-Each element has one opposing side. They both do well when used against each other in combat, conferring a x1.5 multiplication to damage. For instance, water and fire are coupled together--if you use a water skill on a fire-aligned enemy, or vice-versa, the power of your attack will be multiplied

-An elemental skill will do poorly against an enemy of the same element. Precisely, the attack's power will be halved.

-When you use elemental skills of your alignment, they will have a natural boost (x1.5). When you use skills of the opposing element, they will be weaker than normal (x0.5). An attack will be multiplied x2 when it is both your affinity and your enemy's weakness. Additionally, an attack will hardly deal any damage if it is your weakness and your enemy's strength.

-If two skills of opposing elements are used against each other (and if the skill levels are the same), they will cancel out. If the skills are not of the same level, the one using the weaker skill will have reduced damage dealt to them. This amount will be 0.5x of the skill's original power, regardless of how much stronger it is.

Finally, here are the elemental choices and how they are coupled:

Water - Fire
Wood - Earth
Light - Dark
